Sophie at reading time
At reading time I am doing a lot of talking about the story that we are reading. One of the things we are working on is predicting what we think will happen next in our story.
Discovery
I am making pranks for people. When they pick it up it breaks. I am doing it with Zubia.
WALT:
We are learning to develop the 5 key competencies through activity based learning. We are
learning to be Self Managed, use our Thinking, Use language, symbols and text,
Participate and Contribute and Relate to Others.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: We will show the key competencies throughout discovery
time.
Gymnastics
This
week at gymnastics we moved our bodies like different animals. We then
practised the rolls we learned last week - the hedgehog roll and the pencil
roll.
After
this we made a sequence with a shape at the beginning and the end with a roll
in the middle. The children really enjoyed this and gave each other feedback on
things they liked about the sequences and how they could improve.
Ask your child to show you the different shapes they can
make and rolls they can do.
WALT:
We are learning to make different shapes with our bodies. The
shapes we are making are pikes, tucks, stretch and straddle.
We are learning to make a sequence using shapes and rolls.
SUCCESS CRITERIA: Make a sequence using different shapes and
rolls.
